ILLUSTRATION INDEX
Select ILLUSTRATIONS from the MAIN MENU by using the
<ARROW KEYS> or by pressing the corresponding number key. In
the left column, an alphabetical list of the titles with
illustration(s) will appear. Some versions show a middle
column that contains a list of the authors of each title and
the screen number for each illustration. The right column
shows a brief description of each illustration.
Press <ENTER> to view the first illustration, or scroll down
the list using the <ARROW KEYS> to any illustration, and
press <ENTER>. From within any illustration, pressing
<ENTER> will bring you to the next illustration appearing on
the master illustration list. Pressing <F6> will instantly
take you to the corresponding text of the illustration you
are viewing. From the text, you can return to the
illustration by pressing <F9>, or simply read the text as
you normally would on screen, with access to all other
features at the bottom of the screen.
Some maps will appear with the message DETAILS AVAILABLE on
the top. This means that sections outlined by a dashed line
can be outlined by using the <TAB> or selected by using the
mouse and cursor. Press <ENTER> or click the mouse to view
an enlarged map of the specified area.
The <F9> Illus key will continue to be illuminated only when
you remain on the page where the illustration occurs. As
soon as you scroll or page down beyond that page, the <F9>
key will not appear at the bottom of the screen.
This is also true when you are reading a text. The <F9>
Illustration key will only illuminate when a corresponding
illustration exists with the current page you are reading,
and will only remain lit for the duration of time you are
reading that particular page. Press <F9> to view the
illustration. To return to the text from the illustration,
press <ESC> or <ENTER>.
